The sun is out and it's gorgeous weather at Heaton Park this afternoon, we're hoping that this sun is here to stay.

When attending festivals, you need to plan for the weather. Fewer clothes mean less drying time. The worst thing would be having wet, heavy denim after a rain shower, but some of the outfits, albeit questionable, are very colourful.

16:21   David Murphy

Parklife organisers have said;

While good weather is expected over the Parklife weekend, the temperature will drop in the evening - please bring appropriate footwear in case of muddy surfaces.

16:17   David Murphy

It's important with the warm weather to stay hydrated, there are lots of water refill stations about across the festival site for ensuring that you drink plenty of fluids.

 We made it to the front of the queue!

Some would say that our work here is now done, David our photographer has got the FRIES.

15:48   David Murphy

McDonald's has started serving free fries and the queue is MASSIVE.

15:18   David Murphy

It wouldn't be a festival if we didn't include some photos of the food; this is the first trip to look at what food offerings are available and the best places to visit.

We'll be looking at how much food and drink will set you back this year, Parklife is completely cashless with contactless payments.
