Road closures and one-way systems will be in place during Parklife this weekend

ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO TRAVEL: ParkLife music festival is taking place at Heaton Park this weekend (8/9 June). Road closures and one-way systems will be in place.

The following road closures will be in operation on the 8th and 9th of June for Parklife; during this time, residential access will only be permitted to do so at times, and roads will be closed to all traffic, including permit holders, to assist in the safe and timely dispersal of the audience.

 

7pm-2am

Middleton Road closed to all traffic including permit holders from Heywood Old Road to Sheepfoot Lane (both directions)

M60 Junction 19 all exits and entrances will be closed except for the anticlockwise slip road onto the M60.

 

8pm until 1am:

Middleton Road from jct of Victoria Ave to Crumsall Lane (both directions)

Sheefoot Lane from Jct of Bury Old Road to Middleton Road (both directions)

Blackley New Road from jct Middleton Road to Riveroadale Road (both directions)

Meade Hill Road from jct of Sheepfoot Lane to Middleton Road (both directions).

Bury Old Road from jct of Whittaker Lane to jct of Scholes Lane/Sheepfoot Lane (both directions)

 

9pm-1am:

Sheepfoot Lane there will be no waiting, parking or loading allowed from the jct of Bury Old Road to its jct with Middleton Road, vehicles parked here may be towed.

At times a dynamic temporary closure of Sheepfoot Lane may be required for public safety.

 

One Way System

Whittaker Lane - open to westbound traffic only from the jct of Bury Old Road to the jct of Heywood Road 8-2am Saturday and Sunday, all traffic must follow the direction of the one way system.

Victoria Avenue - open to westbound traffic only from the jct of Tweedle Hill Road to the jct of Middleton Road 7pm until 2am on both days.The following road closures will be in operation on 8th and 9th June for Parklife, during this time, residential access will only be whilst safe to do so at times, roads will be closed to all traffic including permit holders to assist in the safe and timely dispersal of the audience.

7pm-2am
