Thousands of people headed to the ballot boxes yesterday for this year’s local elections across Bury & Rochdale.
The elections will decide who runs services such as social care, bin collections, roads, schools, and planning.
Both Bury and Rochdale councils are currently led by Labour, with a majority of 23 and 16 respectively.
This year, sees the elections go ‘all out’, meaning all seats are up for grabs due to small boundary changes in a number of wards.
Votes will be counted throughout the afternoon on Friday with declarations beginning in Rochdale at around 3pm, with Bury expected to declare results from around 5pm.
