Bury Council is to resurface and improve the drainage along Nuttall Hall Road to improve access to Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom.
Work is planned to start after the Easter Holidays and last four weeks, under the £40k scheme awarded to contractor J. Hopkins Ltd.
The road will be closed to general users during this period, although the contractors will liaise with nearby residents to maintain access to their properties.
Road humps will be installed as part of the works to help ensure drivers keep to a safe speed.
Councillor Alan Quinn, cabinet member for the environment, climate change and operations, said: “We’re rightly proud that all 12 of the borough’s main parks, including Nuttall Park, enjoy coveted Green Flag status. We’re putting a lot of investment into our parks and green spaces, and I’m sure these improvements will be welcomed by all park users and those who live nearby.”
