Repairs to overhead lines on the Metrolink network will run into a third day tomorrow (Wednesday) following weather damage on Sunday.
The damage is in the area of Manchester Victoria, with services unable to run through on the Bury & Rochdale via Oldham lines.
Services are expected to be restored on Thursday morning (15 June).
A tweet from Manchester Metrolink read: "Engineers have been on site around the clock since the issue occurred, and have been working tirelessly to get the work done as quickly and as safely as possible.
"A clear plan is in place, but the nature of the repairs and the location of the damage mean these are very complex."
On the Bury line, A replacement bus service is operating between Abraham Moss and Piccadilly Station. Five buses will operate along the route at a 12-minute frequency in both directions. The route for which can be seen here via the TfGM website.
Transport bosses are also finding resources for a similar replacement bus on the Rochdale line between Central Park & Piccadilly Station.
TfGM have had confirmation that services will operate after 3pm on Wednesday afternoon, but are still working hard to source buses for the morning.
Ticket acceptance is also in place on local buses.
For the Bury line, tickets and passes can be used on the 17, 18, 41, 52, 53, 56, 66, 90, 95, 97, 98, 112, 117, 118, 119, 135, 156, 163, 524 bus services.
Whilst on the Rochdale line, tickets and passes can be used on the 57, 59, 76, 76A, 81, 83, 114, 149, 181, 182, 409, 411, 415, 471 bus services and Northern trains between Rochdale and the city centre.
As the warm weather continues in Greater Manchester this week, TfGM are advising passengers, to carry water when travelling.
