Auto dealer Premier Kia has renewed its support for this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.
The Rochdale Kia dealership, which is based on Molesworth Street near the town centre, will be the festival’s digital media partner and will be promoting the event to its customers across the region as well as having an eye-catching product display on site. Premier Kia staff will be backstage, recording exclusive interviews with performers and sharing them on social media. The deal will also see Premier Kia providing an electric EV6 to assist organisers during the festival.
Ben Bird, director at Premier Kia, said they were proud to be supporting the event, headlined by indie rock band The Fratellis: “We’ve all missed the festival experience over the last couple of years while we stayed apart, but now it’s time to get together and have some fun. Rochdale Feel Good Festival is a firm favourite with our staff and customers and we are proud to have supported it since 2018. We are excited to team up with the organisers and for those who can’t be there we’ll be sharing content and behind the scenes action across our social channels. Premier Kia is committed to the local community and this festival gives us a great platform to promote Kia to thousands of people across Greater Manchester and beyond.”
Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council who visited Premier Kia this week to see their new look premises, said: “We are so pleased to be working with the team at Premier Kia again. It’s the local investment and support from our partners that helps the council deliver this fantastic event and provides an opportunity for friends and families to come and enjoy performances that will appeal to young and old alike.”
Sales manager Paul Ashcroft added: “We are making exciting plans for during the run up to the festival and at the event itself in August.”
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Saturday 13 August, featuring a showcase of top class entertainment. Headliners The Fratellis will be joined by northern soul band The Northern Soultrain, Manchester singer/songwriter Abbie Ozard, rock band HAiG, multi-talented musician Aziz Ibrahim, alternative dance band ENTT, indie/folk duo Firewoodisland, DJ Dave Sweetmore and a local battle of the bands winner, a full programme of entertainment across indoor venues to be announced plus quality food and drink.
Tickets (£7) for the main stage are available at www.rochdalefeelgoodfestival.co.uk or you can book in person at Touchstones Rochdale, Heywood Civic Centre and Middleton Arena. On the day your ticket will be exchanged for a festival wristband and that will allow you unlimited re-entry to and from the main stage area. You don’t need a ticket or a wristband to enter indoor festival venues.
The festival is funded by the council together with ticket sales and sponsorship from The Lancashire Hospitality Co-operation, Premier Kia, Hopwood Hall College and other local businesses. If you would like to get involved with the festival, email events@rochdale.gov.uk
