Officers appeal for further information following a sexual assault in Bury

Greater Manchester Police are continuing to investigate a sexual assault of a teenage girl from Tuesday 3 October 2023 at around 4pm on Manchester Road, Bury.

Officers would like to speak to this man in connection with this incident (pictured) who they believe may have further information that can help with their investigation.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

PC Zak Wood of GMP’s Bury district said: “We understand the concern this will raise but want to reassure the local community despite the time passed we are continuing to exhaust all lines of enquiry to ensure we can find the person responsible and remain committed on tackling violence against women and girls.

“We are now able to appeal to the public, and in particular the person pictured, to see if we can retrieve any further detail around this incident to obtain new evidence.

“The victim is continuing to receive the appropriate support throughout all of this and anyone with information is asked to call the district direct on 0161 856 8129 or 101 quoting incident 2538 of 03/10/2023.”

Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
