ROCHDALE: The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations happening in your local area

With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee taking place next weekend revellers up and down the country are set to celebrate their additional bank holidays with street parties, gatherings, and parades in honour of the Queen’s 70th anniversary of service.

The Platinum Jubilee is between Thursday 2^nd-Sunday 5^th June 2022, with a multitude of live and televised events happening over the course of the long weekend.

ROCHDALE:

Floral Celebration- St James’ Church

Thursday 2^nd- Sunday 5^th June

• St James’ Church will be hosting a floral celebration to commemorate the life of Queen Elizabeth and her platinum jubilee
• All are welcome and will run from 11am- 3pm
• Entry is free

Empire Rochdale Celebrates The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee- Empire Rochdale

• Free Afternoon Tea
• Free Themed Shot for all attendees

• Heywood Rotary Club and Friends of Queen’s Park are hosting a picnic in Queen’s Park between 12pm-5pm
• Live music on the bandstand
• Bring your own food and picnic blanket

Friday 3^rd June

• Live music starting at 3pm with Lily K, John Michael and Aaron Welby
• Disco set from DJ Marc until the end of the night
• BBQ and outdoor bar until 8pm

• Special brewing taking place from 12:30pm onwards at Serious Brewing, a family run, independent micro-brewery

Jubilee Celebration Family Fun Day- Ukrainian Club

Saturday 4^th June

• Running from 12pm-5pm, the Ukrainian Club will host a free family fun day, with money raised going to the Awakening Minds Charity
• Food and desserts
• Sweets and popcorn machines

Bowlee Jubily Family Fete- Bowlee Country Park
