Seven men have been charged following raids at addresses across Rochdale, Heywood and Bury on Tuesday (21 September 2021).
Detectives from GMP's Serious and Organised Crime Group carried out dawn raids at around 6 am as part of a crackdown on drug supply across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Northern Ireland.
The following have been charged:
- Eneo Zace, 34, of Lakeside, Bury, has been charged with conspiracy to supply and produce class B drugs and transferring and conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
- Vito Lambardo, 31, of Gas Street, Heywood, has been charged with conspiracy to supply and produce class B drugs.
- Lathert Pone (07/12/1989), of Downley Close, Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to supply and produce class B drugs and transferring and conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
- Tedi Hysesani, 28, of Peter Street, Newbold, Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to supply and produce class B drugs and transferring and conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
- Redion Pupa, 23, of Peter Street, Newbold, Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to supply and produce class B drugs and transferring and conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
- Andrew Hall, 55, of no fixed address, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs and transferring criminal property.
- Luke Spencer, 30, of Summit, Littleborough, Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs.
They appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court yesterday (22 September 2021) and were remanded to next appear in court on 20 October 2021.
Detective Sergeant Louise Ashurst, from GMP's Serious and Organised Crime Group, said after the raids on Tuesday: "Today's action is a result of months of proactive and investigative work which has led to drugs and the criminal proceeds of those drugs being taken off the streets of Greater Manchester.
"The arrest and seizures are testament and dedication put in by all of the officers involved who are helping to disrupt serious organised crime.
"The detrimental impact of serious organised criminal activity does not just impact those involved but can be felt across communities and GMP is committed to identifying this activity and ensuring those responsible face the appropriate justice.
