A teenager is in a serious condition in hospital after a collision in Bury last night.
Emergency services were called to Parkhills Road at around 9:30pm yesterday evening, following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
A 16-year-old male was tapped in a Toyota Avensis, the car he was in collided with a stationary vehicle.
The injuries he sustained aren't believed to be life-threatening, he was freed from the vehicle by Greater Manchester & Fire Service (GMFRS).
The driver didn't remain at the scene.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "A teenager remains in a serious condition in hospital after a road traffic collision in Bury.
"Officers were called to Parkhills Road, Bury, just before 9.30pm last night (27 November) to reports of a two-vehicle collision.
"The 16-year male passenger was reported to be trapped in the Toyota Avensis following a collision with a stationary vehicle.
"NWAS and GMFRS also attended and he was taken to hospital where he remains with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The driver did not remain at the scene."
A spokesperson for GMFRS added: “At approximately 9.30pm on Saturday, 27th November, firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Parkhills Road in Bury.
“Fire engines from Bury and Whitefield stations, alongside the Technical Response Unit from Ashton-under-Lyne, quickly attended the scene. The collision involved two vehicles.
“Firefighters used specialist equipment to extricate a man from one of the vehicles, before he was transferred to the care of colleagues from NWAS and conveyed to hospital. Fire crews were in attendance for around an hour.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
